What a successful year it has been for for the club being the only club in FNQ to have all five senior teams reaching the finals winning the reserve mens grade and the ladies grand final with our second divison mens runners up .
The club with the help of a host of volunteers managed to host the semi finals at Tiger park and the grand final at Barlow what a great day for the club and just shows what we all can acheived when we put our heads together . welldone every one for helping our club move forward …..
Just recently the club has seen success with the completion of our first major project of upgrading new lights toield 1 and training areas and the fertilization of the fields. This will help provide a soft surface and bright lights for our players at night. These projects have been completed thanks to help of the many club members, volunteers and Major sponsor’s hard work. Many thanks to The Reef Hotel Casino Community benefit fund, Cairns City Council Sport and Recreation fund and Ergon Energy.
We have begun our new Grant applications for our new projects for 2010, where we look to invest in a brand new lawn mower. Also a grant has been submitted to upgrade new grandstand multi weather seating, which would see new roofs on our stands for our visitors and loyal supporters.
I would like to thank all our senior club teams and respective coaches for their dedication and commitment to our club . sign on for 2010 has now started preseason training starts january 2010
