FQPL Men

In 2025, Ryan Murray completed his second year as head coach, once again supported by his trusted assistant, Matt Kennedy. Building on the foundations of their impressive debut season, the duo guided Edge Hill United to new heights, further strengthening the club’s reputation as one of the premier community football sides in Far North Queensland.

With a well-balanced squad that blended experienced leaders with emerging young talent, the Tigers showed resilience, consistency, and growth throughout the year. Their campaign in the FQPL 3 Men’s competition was particularly notable, building on last season’s top-four finish and pushing deeper into the league to ultimately be crowned FQPL 3 Premier Men’s 2025 Champions. The title was secured through a gutsy, hard-fought performance in the Grand Final, a display that embodied the team’s determination and fighting spirit.

The 2025 season also showcased the strength of the club’s pathway, with the U23 Men delivering a standout campaign highlighted by their own Grand Final victory, which saw them crowned FQPL 3 U23 2025 Champions. This achievement not only celebrated the depth of talent within the squad but also offered a glimpse of the exciting future that lies ahead for the Tigers.

The season was a true reflection of Edge Hill United’s mission – combining community spirit with competitive football. Camaraderie, inclusiveness, and family culture remained at the heart of everything achieved, uniting players, volunteers, and supporters under the Tiger banner.

Join us as we look ahead to the exciting 2026 season. Become part of the Tiger family and experience the strong sense of community, welcoming culture, and family-oriented spirit that make Edge Hill United FC such a proud representative of Cairns and Far North Queensland.

FQPL Women

From the energy of our rising homegrown stars to the composure and leadership of our senior players, this season has highlighted a squad built on family spirit, resilience, and a relentless drive for excellence. With Tiger Park as their fortress, the Premier and U23 Women have once again raised the bar for women’s football in Cairns and beyond

As we close out 2025, we celebrate a legacy of champions and look ahead with excitement to an even brighter future for Edge Hill United’s senior women’s program.
Join us in 2026 as we continue the journey, chase new goals, and strive for even greater success.

The 2025 season will go down as one of the most remarkable yet for our Premier Women’s team, under the leadership of Dean Ashton. Building on their historic treble in 2024, they once again proved their dominance—finishing as 2025 Premiers and Champions and making history on the State stage by reaching the Champions League Final. While just falling short of ultimate glory at that level, their run showcased the talent, determination, and fighting spirit that defines Edge Hill United.

The success story did not stop there. Our U23 Women capped off a stellar campaign as 2025 Premiers, further confirming the incredible depth of talent coming through the ranks and the strength of our pathway for female footballers.
